All of the points in this critique of Rails have been said of Zope 2, perhaps except the last point. Not without cause, mind you, some of them are true of Zope 2 (witness "things that only magically spring to life once a request is live"). Many of the reddit comments are less kind.

Better think pretty damn hard about things before you build that next great convention-over-configuration (previously known as "DWIM" before these kids ran onto my lawn) framework.
